Google and Baidu Search Engines

China's answer to the all powerful Google search engine is Baidu. Google once dominated the giant Chinese market, but seems to be losing ground to the popular Baidu search engine.
Baidu tumbles on pricing worries
"Only six months ago, Google was the most frequently used search engine for Internet users in Shanghai. CNNIC's survey found Baidu has a 43.9% market share in Shanghai compared to 38.2% for Google. In Guangzhou, Google has only a 28.7% market share while Baidu holds 48%. In Beijing, Baidu increased its share by 10.8 percentage points to 51.5% while Google's share grew only by 1.9 percentage points to reach 32.9%."

Ethical Investment Association Symbol

The Ethical Investment Association in Australia has released what could be the world's first certification program for those providing Sustainable Responsible Investment (SRI) and Ethical Investment products and services. It's becoming more popular for investors to consider environmental, social and ethical conditions when choosing what companies to invest in, or in choosing a service or product.
It's a good thing for the environment and for companies taking the environment into consideration when doing business.
Executive Director of the EIA, Louise O'Halloran said: "With over $4 billion now invested across 100 different SRI products it became clear that investors needed help in comparing apples with apples.
"The SRI Symbol is essentially a navigational tool and aid to disclosure. It will help investors find the SRI investment that best suits their needs and values".

Display of the SRI Symbol will certify that a licensee has adopted educational and disclosure practices relevant to their license category.
